Portrait of an Island Photography Classes

Students will learn the art of documentary storytelling focusing on place and portraiture. Open to ages 13-18 years. Two classes per week, Mondays and Fridays, 5:30-7:30pm, beginning July 19 for a total of five weeks. Darkroom usage times to be announced. Will provide Holga Camera, film, photo paper, basics of camera usage and photography skills, darkroom access, framing/matting of finished pieces and an opportunity to exhibit work at the gallery. Instructor is Alexis Martino, gallery owner and Ross School Chair of Media Studies. Cost is $550 per student. Up to four scholarships will be provided.
